Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy supplements our general Privacy Policy and applies specifically to personal information that qualifies as “consumer health data” under applicable U.S. state laws, including the Washington My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373), the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, and the Nevada Consumer Health Data Privacy Act.
This policy is provided by Divinebeingmetatron Ltd (“SINE”, “we”, “us”), the developer of the Sine: Immersive Soundscapes application.
1. Categories of Consumer Health Data Collected
Sine may collect the following categories of consumer health data, exclusively with your explicit consent:
| Data Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Cardiovascular data | Heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate | Apple HealthKit (on-device only) |
| Sleep data | Sleep analysis (duration, quality indicators) | Apple HealthKit (on-device only) |
| Self-reported wellness data | Mood check-in scores (energy, stress, focus, mood on a scale of 1–10), free-text session notes | Directly from you within the app |
2. Purpose of Collection
We collect consumer health data exclusively for the following purposes:
- Bio-Resonance feature: To provide personalized insights into the physiological effects of your meditation practice by analyzing heart rate and HRV patterns during meditation sessions.
- Mood tracking: To help you monitor changes in your emotional well-being before and after meditation sessions.
- Session insights: To provide aggregated trend data showing how your meditation practice correlates with changes in cardiovascular and wellness metrics over time.
SINE is a wellness tool and not a medical device. Consumer health data collected through Sine is used exclusively for general wellness and informational purposes. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
3. How Consumer Health Data Is Processed
Critical guarantee: All HealthKit data (heart rate, HRV, sleep) is processed exclusively on your device. Raw health measurements never leave your iPhone and are never transmitted to our servers, Firebase, or any third party.
- HealthKit data is read from the Apple Health app only during active meditation sessions or when you explicitly request Bio-Resonance analysis.
- Raw measurements are temporarily cached in device memory during the session and discarded immediately after.
- Only aggregated values (averages and trends) are stored locally on your device as part of your session insights.
- Self-reported mood data is stored both locally and in Firebase Firestore (cloud backup) to enable cross-device synchronization.
4. Categories of Third Parties
We share consumer health data with the following categories of third parties:
| Third Party | Data Shared | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| None (for HealthKit data) | No HealthKit data is shared with any third party | N/A. All processing is on-device |
| Firebase / Google (for mood data only) | Anonymized mood scores (1–10 values), session timestamps | Cloud backup and cross-device sync |
We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share consumer health data with advertising networks, data brokers, insurance companies, employers, or any other third parties for commercial purposes.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights regarding your consumer health data:
5.1 Right to Know
You have the right to know what consumer health data we collect about you, how it is used, and with whom it is shared. This policy fulfills that obligation.
5.2 Right to Access
You have the right to access your consumer health data. All health-related data collected by Sine is visible to you directly within the app (Profile → Bio-Resonance tab and Session Insights).
5.3 Right to Delete
You have the right to request deletion of your consumer health data. You can:
- In the app: Delete individual session insights, or delete your entire account (Profile → Settings → Delete Account)
- By email: Send a deletion request to support@sine-immersive.com
Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will delete the requested consumer health data within 30 days. We will also instruct any service providers that may hold copies (Firebase for mood data) to delete the data.
5.4 Right to Withdraw Consent
You may withdraw your consent for health data collection at any time:
- HealthKit access: Revoke in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Sine
- Mood check-ins: Skip mood check-ins by using the “Just Play” option when starting a meditation
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. The Sine app functions fully without health data access; all features except Bio-Resonance analysis remain fully available.
5.5 Right to Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under applicable consumer health data privacy laws. You will not receive a different level or quality of service for exercising your privacy rights.
6. Consent
We collect consumer health data only with your prior, affirmative consent. Consent is obtained through:
- HealthKit data: The iOS system permission dialog, which requires your explicit opt-in before any health data can be read. This consent is granular (you can approve or deny individual data types).
- Mood data: Your voluntary participation in mood check-in prompts before and after meditation sessions.
We do not collect consumer health data without your affirmative consent. We do not use consumer health data for any purpose not disclosed in this policy without obtaining additional consent.
7. Data Retention
| Data Type | Retention Period |
|---|---|
| Raw HealthKit measurements | Session duration only (discarded immediately after processing) |
| Aggregated health metrics (on-device) | Until account deletion or manual deletion by you |
| Mood check-in data | Until account deletion or manual deletion by you |
